CO2–extract of Squeezed grapes

CO2–extract of squeezed grapes is an oily pasty light-brown (with green tint) liquid with winy sourish odour, bitterish to the taste. The extract can be dissolved in alcohol or oils, but cannot in water. Extract of squeezed grapes contains following biologically-active components: tocopherol, phospholipin, irreplaceable polyunsaturated fatty acids, waxes, phytosterol, carotinoids, and essential oils.

Due to tocopherol extract of squeezed grapes has strong antioxidant effect – it guarantees safety of vitamins A and D, and long storage of cosmetics or food products into which extract of squeezed grapes is added. Considerable amount of waxes contained in extract of squeezed grapes gives to it the ability to link up and hold a moisture. Such ability is very valuable for some cosmetics and medicinal preparations. And plentiful amount of free fatty acids gives to cosmetic preparations (creams, shampoos, gels) based on extract of squeezed grapes plasticizer property.

Besides cosmetics, CO2–extract of squeezed grapes have made a good showing itself in fat-and-oil industry: as an antioxidant in vegetative oils and butters, mayonnaises, etc.
